Front hinge-upgrade Vespa Largeframe

As a highlight, we are offering a high-tech hinge for our Vespa Smallframe Sport- and Touring seats.
This functional component replaces the standard fastening system, optimizes the handling and also acts as a stylish eye-catcher for your Vespa scooter.

All our hinges are 100 % made in Germany.

PLEASE NOTE that the seat is not lockable with the front hinge anymore. On the PX, the arms of the side panel locking systems might be shortened by a couple of mm.

Important! Please read carefully!
The newest version of our seats is V3.0. The hinge is compatible with seats V2.0 and V3.0.
Seats from Version 1.0 can also be upgraded but require some modification.

Please refer to the detailed descriptions below to identify the correct seat version.

Version 3.0 (since the beginning of 2017)

  • Cover sheet made of brushed stainless steel (no engraved Streamline Logo)
  • Thick cushion
  • Ventilation holes in the seat body
  • Two small buffers in the front
  • Inverted fastening system
  • Short lock with 16 mm shaft length

Version 2.0 (from mid 2014 until the beginning of 2017)

  • Cover sheet made of aluminium (sometimes with Streamline Logo)
  • One small buffer in the front
  • Long lock with 40 mm shaft length (needs to be exchanged against a small lock with 16 mm)
  • Sometimes repkit installed in the front (half-moon plastic piece with round metal sheet)
  • Spacer nuts are fastened with normal M6 washers (see below photos)

Version 1.0 (beginning of 2014 until mid 2014)

  • Cover sheet made of aluminium (sometimes with Streamline Logo)
  • One small buffer in the front
  • Long lock with 40 mm shaft length (needs to be exchanged against a small lock with 16 mm)
  • Spacer nuts are fastened with large diameter washers (see below photos)

Because the spacer nuts on Version 1.0 are fastened with simple screws from the backside of the upper metal sheet, the nuts cannot be removed. Therefore the hinge can only be mounted on seats V1.0 if the upper metal sheet is exchanged with the V3.0 sheet. The rivets of the old sheet must be removed and the new sheet will need to be attached to the seat body with a special bodywork adhesive.
